The much-awaited venture of filmmaker

Siddhartha Siva

and actor Nivin Pauly titled

Sakhavu

, which is 2 hours 40 minute-long, has just released in theatres.

Nivin’s performance as a veteran Sakhavu Krishnabhaskar and as a young, wayward comrade Krishna Kumar, is very much convincing.

His veteran avatar reveals a very dynamic side and is a firebrand, while the young comrade’s traits are as different as chalk and cheese.
The youngster is lazy and laid-back, and can be acknowledged as teh 'Thadicha Cheguvera'Like in many of Nivin Pauly films, Sakhavu too sets off with his voice-over.

The three leading ladies of the film also make their on-screen appearances in the first half, but they are left with not much of a space for performance, yet.

While there are quite a few good lines of humour and striking comrade-style statements with intensity, however, it doesn’t strike a chord always, which calls for the need for a consistency. The intermission point hints that what's seen so far is just a trailer of sorts, as compared to the next half of the long movie.
