‘Vela’ starring Shane Nigam and Sunny Wayne in the lead roles is gearing up for release. The makers have confirmed that the film will hit the big screens on November 10. Directed by Syam Sasi, ‘Vela’ is a cop drama, and the lead actors Shane Nigam and Sunny Wayne will be seen in the role of police officers in the film.
Sunny Wayne dropped the latest posters of ‘Vela’ and said, “The papers said it was a crime of passion and he told me there wasnt no passion to it. November 10th!! Mark the Date. #velathemovie #nov10.”

Actor Shane Nigam too confirmed the release date. In his Instagram post, he said, “#vela from November 10th in theatres. Expecting all your prayers and support,” he captioned.
The makers recently launched the trailer, and it received impressive reports from the audience. Directed by Syam Sasi, 'Vela' also has actors Aditi Balan, Namritha MV, and Sidharth Bharathan in pivotal roles. Set in Palakkad, the film features Shane Nigam and Sunny Wayne as cops.
Speaking to ETimes earlier, M Sajas, the scriptwriter of ‘Vela’ revealed that the film revolves around cops and a police control room, “The film revolves around a police control room, and the people working there. Shane is a constable, while Sunny plays a senior police officer. Sidharth Bharathan is doing a pivotal role, and Aditi Balan is the leading lady.”
He further added, “Our film delves deeper into the nuances of a police control room. From the personal issues they face to the fun, and at times the mental stress they go through, ‘Vela’ takes the audience into the universe of these cops. It’s an emotional crime drama.”
The scriptwriter also confirmed that ‘Vela’ will be different from the usual cop drama, and that it is treated as a pure entertainer.
