Shine Tom Chacko, Ahaana Krishna to play newlyweds in Prasobh Vijayan’s next
Director Prasobh Vijayan, who had previously helmed thrillers such as Lilli and Anweshanam, has chosen a totally different genre for his next project, which completed its shoot on Tuesday. The movie, which is scripted by Ishq writer Ratheesh Ravi, has Shine Tom Chacko,
On the movie, the filmmaker tells us, “This film is not similar in any way to my previous two movies. Neither does it have too many indoor portions nor is it a thriller. The film in fact has an equal mix of outdoor and indoor locations and is a fun, comedy that is made for the family audience and would remind people of Sathyan Anthikad movies. Shine and Ahaana play a couple, who are recently married in the film. The story revolves around their family and the incidents that happen in their lives.”
The untitled film also has Dhruvan in an equally important role, says Prasobh, adding that Anu Joseph, and Angamaly Diaries fame Sreekanth Dasan and Bitton Davis play the other important characters.
The team had shot the film over 50 days in Aluva and Kochi. On shooting the outdoor scenes, Prasobh says, “Our film probably had more outdoor locations than most of the films that were shot recently. How the production team went about it is that they would find places that had fewer reported Covid-19 cases and checked if it met our requirements. Then they would discuss it with their local bodies and minimise the number of people at the site so we could shoot seamlessly. We have envisioned this as a theatrical release and so there weren’t any constraints in the budget either.”
The film marks Dulquer Salmaan’s fourth production and Prasobh is all praise for the team for helping them shoot the movie amid the pandemic.
