Shine Tom Chacko is headlining the upcoming film titled ‘Vichithram’. The film was launched last week, with a title poster and a promo and it grabbed the attention of movie buffs for all the right reasons. Speaking exclusively to ETimes, ‘Vichithram’ director Achu Vijayan speaks about the film and Shine Tom Chacko’s role.

Set in Thrissur, against the backdrop of a Christian family, ‘Vichithram’ is a crime mystery thriller. Shine Tom Chacko, is essaying the lead role, while actors Kani Kusruti, Balu Varghese, Lal, Jolly Chirayath, and Ketaki Narayan have roped in to play some crucial roles in the film.

“Shine Tom Chacko is playing the role of Jackson, the eldest son of the family. Jackson lives in a rented house, with his mother, and siblings. After the death of Jackson’s father, who was a football coach, the family isn’t coping well. Jackson, who used to play football well, when his dad was alive, hasn’t touched the football ever since then. The audience will get to see some amazing performance from Shine Tom Chacko. His character, Jackson is someone who always has secondary gigs, which never turn fruitful,” the debutant director revealed.

When asked about Kani Kusruthi’s role in the film, Achu Vijayan tells us that she has roped in to play Martha Alexander, and actor Lal plays her dad - Alexander. The director stays tight-lipped and shares that he cannot reveal further about her character.

The makers have wrapped up a couple of schedules and will be resuming the shoot in some time.
