Sidhique-starrer Four starts shoot

The Malayalam film industry is gradually starting to get the wheels moving under the new normal with shoots starting on various projects.

, got rolling today. The film which has

Sidhique

in the lead, also features the heartwarming

Parava

foursome of Amal Shah, Govind V Pai, Minon and Gourav Menon.

The film, written by Vidhu Sankar and Vyshak, is set in a school with Sidhique playing a teacher, who has been wronged and later returns to the school. Speaking to us earlier about the film, which he says is filled with humour and teenage angst, the director said, “It is about a wronged teacher, who returns to the government school from where he lost his job to guide the students along the right path. The story explores the relationship between this teacher and his students, and the drama along the way.

The script, which had been completed before the lockdown, was apparently rewritten to suit the new pandemic protocols. “We worked on it again to suit the requirements of the new shooting protocol. We reworked it so that the shoot is done indoors in classrooms and in homes, and with a limited crew as stipulated,” said Sunil. The film is expected to be completed by December.

The film will also have Alencier, Sudheer Karamana, Johny Antony and Mala Parvathi, in important roles. The music is by Bijibal and Hari Narayan and Santosh Varma have written a song each. One of the songs is rendered by Shahabaz Aman. Prakash Velayudhan is the DOP.
