Hey there! From the Kerala theatres reportedly rejecting the screening of low-quality movies to the Telugu action drama movie ‘Rama Banam’ getting positive reports from the audience, here are some of the trending entertainment stories for the day from the south film industry.

Telugu actors Gopichand, Dimple Hayathi, Jagapathi Babu, and Khushbu teamed up for the action drama movie ‘Rama Banam," and the film is now getting good reviews from the netizens. According to the first reactions, ‘Rama Banam’ is said to have a perfect balance of action and drama, along with good music and dance numbers.

‘Rama Banam’ is a 2023 Telugu action drama film starring Gopichand, Dimple Hayathi, Jagapathi Babu and Khushbu playing the key roles. The film has been funded by TG Vishwa Prasad of People media factory and Micky J Meyer has composed the movie soundtrack and background score while Prawin Pudi cut the film has come before the audience today on 05-05-2023.

The film is said to be a family drama between two siblings who despite their ideological differences come together to fight for a common goal.

The film’s story is written by Bhupathi Raja in association with Madhusudan Padamati and director Sriwass has directed the film. Actor Gopichand is coming up with a family drama after a long and he was confident about the film in his recent movie promotions.

Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan is all set for his next movie with director Rajkumar Periyasamy. According to the reports, Sivakarthikeyan will play the role of an army officer in the movie.

Considering the fact that only a few films did well at the box office in the first quarter of 2023, the Film Exhibitors United Organisation President, M. Vijayakumar, reportedly said that they have decided to reject substandard films and impose screening fees. Vijayakumar also said that the Kerala Theatres Association has decided to only screen movies that they believe would work well at the box office.

In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Kannada actress Nidhi Hegde said that the thrill of being an actor relies on taking up experimental roles. Nidhi also revealed that she will be playing a significant role in Ranga’s directorial debut, ‘RRND."
