Suraj Venjaramoodu’s character was born an orphan, in Padmakumar’s next

is back with yet another emotional drama-cum-thriller.

In his next film titled Pathaam Valavu, which has an impressive star cast including Suraj Venjaramoodu,

Indrajith

, Ajmal Amir and Aditi Ravi, Suraj plays a man who is born an orphan. And the movie goes on to show how certain turn of events in his life leads him towards fighting the system. The film’s first-look poster was also recently out.

Padmakumar tells us, “Suraj’s character is a common man, named Solomon. He is an orphan, whose caretaker was the church. He is married to a woman belonging to a different religion and though there were issues during the wedding, everything get solved with time. He is into the catering business, and is a simple man who doesn’t have many tall dreams, other than living a happy life with his wife and daughter. That’s when something happens in their life, that devastates him.”

The director says that the story shows how the system or anyone for that matter, does not offer him support and that results in the man taking the charge, himself. “This is possibly Suraj’s first character in which a handful of major changeovers can be seen in his characterisation. There are many dimensions to this character,” says Padmakumar. The shoot of the film, which had Thodupuzha and Kattappana as the major locations, is almost over.
