Suresh Gopi on Kargil Vijay Diwas: We honor the indomitable spirit and supreme sacrifices of our brave soldiers

Mollywood actor Suresh Gopi paid tribute to the brave soldiers on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

The 'Garudan' actor took to Twitter to share a heartfelt message and a special poster commemorating the day.

In his tweet, Suresh Gopi wrote, “On Kargil Vijay Diwas, we honor the indomitable spirit and supreme sacrifices of our brave soldiers who safeguarded our motherland with unparalleled courage. Their legacy of valor and patriotism will forever inspire us. Jai Hind!”

Kargil Vijay Diwas, celebrated annually on July 26, marks India's victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War of 1999. The day is dedicated to the soldiers who fought valiantly to reclaim the occupied positions on the mountain tops of Northern Kargil District in Ladakh. The conflict, which lasted over two months, highlighted the extraordinary bravery and determination of the Indian armed forces.

Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated across India with various events and ceremonies. In the national capital, New Delhi, the Prime Minister pays homage to the soldiers at Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate. Similar functions are organized throughout the country to commemorate the contributions of the Indian Armed Forces and to remember the heroes of the Kargil War.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal also shared a Tweet on Kargil Vijay Diwas which read, “Twenty-five years of triumph! Our Bravehearts' sacrifice planted the seeds of our victory. Let us cherish their memory and carry their legacy forward. Jai Hind! #KargilVijayDiwas.”
