Mollywood veteran director Joshiy and the legendary superstar Suresh Gopi made their massive comeback after a long gap recently with the investigation thriller ‘Paappan’ and the film proved to be the most successful venture of the actor over the past few years. Now, after a successful theatrical run, ‘Paappan’ is making its way to home screens as it is all set to stream on a popular OTT platform from September 7 onwards.

‘Paappan’ gained much positive response from the audience and the netizens even said it to be the comeback of two legends Suresh Gopi and Joshiy who teamed up after a long gap of almost 22 years.
Helmed by the veteran director Joshiy and scripted by RJ Shaan, ‘Paappan’ told a gripping crime investigation journey of Kerala police who are later confronted by an ex-cop named Abraham Mathew aka Paappan’ played by the actor Suresh Gopi.
Although the story of ‘Paappan’ focuses on its mystery element, RJ Shaan brilliantly added an emotional base to it that actually helped the audience to be fully invested in the storyline without getting bored irrespective of its run time spanning almost 3 hours.
Jakes Bejoy composed the magnificent soundtrack in ‘Paappan’ and the editing section was handled by Shyam Sasidharan. Ajay David Kachappilly cranked the lens for this investigation thriller.
Apart from Suresh Gopi, ‘Paappan’ also featured the actors Gokul Suresh, Neeta Pillai, Nyla Usha, Asha Sharath, Kaniha, Vijayaraghavan, and Tini Tom in significant roles.
On the other hand, Suresh Gopi is gearing up for the release of his next film with Jibu Jacob which is titled ‘Mei Hoom Moosa’, and the film is scheduled to hit the big screens on September 30 this year.
