Suriya lauds Unni Mukundan’s ‘Marco’, praises film’s success

Tamil superstar Suriya has expressed his admiration for the Malayalam blockbuster ‘Marco’, starring Unni Mukundan and directed by Haneef Adeni. The actor was reportedly impressed by the film’s making, intense performances, and gripping storytelling.


Pratheesh Sekhar, a public relations officer and marketing strategist, shared the news on social media after personally meeting Unni Mukundan and Haneef Adeni to convey Suriya’s appreciation. Pratheesh’s Tweet read, “Honored to share that Suriya Sir was deeply impressed with #Marco! Meanwhile, several celebrities like Allu Arjun, Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, and others have showered praises for ‘Marco’. Bollywood director Ram Gopal Varma praised the movie by Tweeting, “Never heard MORE SHOCKING PRAISE for ANY FILM more than #Marco film.. DYING TO SEE IT, and I hope I too won’t get killed by Unni Mukundan.”

The ‘Rekhachithram’ actor Asif Ali praised the film in a recent interview by saying, “The way Unni Mukundan carried that character is praiseworthy. We see only his face in theatres, during the whole run time, his screen presence and swag are just wow.”

The film, known for its unique filmmaking style and high-octane action, became the first A-rated Malayalam movie to cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. The movie will start streaming on this Valentine’s Day, February 14.
