Swasika plays bold woman in family thriller

Swasika has a few bold women characters to her credit, from the title character of Vasanthi to Selena in Chathuram. She will essay yet another strong character in debutant Lal Bijo's Vambathi. The film, set in Malappuram is the story of how an ordinary girl turns bold due to unexpected struggles in her life.


"This family thriller will be set in a very traditional village, where everything is rooted in culture," says Bijo who has previously done a short film, The Big Bang, and has worked as an assistant art director for films like Rakshasa Rajavu and CID Moosa.
