Tanvi Ram plays Jayasurya’s sister in John Luther

Tanvi had also shot for a few weeks for the film 2403 ft, directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, before shooting restrictions were in place. Ask her about the project and Tanvi says, “It is a big-scale project, and we had shot for about two weeks before the lockdown. We were supposed to continue in May and now, it isn’t clear when we can resume next. That said, working with the team of 2403 ft was like being with people who always knew me. Even Tovino Thomas, who was my co-star in the film, was quite cordial and made me comfortable during the filming,” she says.
Tanvi, who hails from Bengaluru, was with her parents in the Garden City during the lockdown. “While the confinement was initially alright, it gradually suffocated me a bit. I tried my best to stay positive by reading good books and watching movies. I play the musical instrument veena, so a bit of time was devoted to practise the same too,” says Tanvi, who originally hails from Kannur. She has also taken up yet another Malayalam film, which is expected to be announced later this month, in which, the actress would be seen in a lead role.

She says, “The film, which is a thriller, also features close family ties as part of its story. Jayasurya’s character and his sister also share a strong bond in the film, which is integral to the plot. At the moment, I can’t divulge anything more.
