Aparna Balamurali replaces Manju Warrier in ‘Kaapa’
National award-winning actress Aparna Balamurali has replaced Manju Warrier in the upcoming film ‘Kaapa’. Manju Warrier backed out from the project, as she was reportedly filming for ‘AK61’ starring Ajith. ‘Kaapa’ has Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role and it also has Aparna Balamurali, Asif Ali and Anna Ben in the pivotal roles.

The first look poster of ‘Mindiyum Paranjum’ featuring Unni Mukundan and Aparna Balamurali was launched this week. Speaking to Kochi Times, the co-writer Mridul George said, “It is about how the relationship develops between a young couple and how they grow in their marriage. It looks at them through different phases in their young lives. The film has an atmospheric quality with the monsoon, region and the people. It is set in Idukki and there is a bit of travel in the story.”

FEOUK on OTT streaming
The Film Exhibitors United Organisation Kerala (FEUOK) has asked movie production companies to re-consider the window between theatrical release and OTT streaming. FEUOK has demanded moviemakers sell OTT rights of the film only after 56 days of its theatrical release. The organization has stressed that the films of makers who do not agree to the particular window period will have prevented from the theatrical release.

Hesham Abdul Wahab on ‘Kushi’
‘Hridayam’ musician Hesham Abdul Wahab is currently working on his upcoming film ‘Kushi’ which has Samantha and Vijay Devarakonda in the lead roles. Speaking exclusively to ETimes, the musician divulged, “‘Kushi’ has 5 songs, and I could only say that it will be something beyond ‘Hridayam’. The Samantha-Vijay Devarakonda starrer is humungous in several aspects. There are around 50 musicians involved in the process, of which about 25-30 are working closely with me. In ‘Hridayam’ the number was around 10, so the magnitude here is definitely high. Being a romantic drama ‘Kushi’ revolves around the two characters, and I haven’t done something like this before.”
