There’s hardly a glum week in the Malayalam movie industry, and this week to spice up things a tad more, a lot of exciting announcements and updates came out. Be it the adorable star couple Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim sharing the screen, the buzz around Mohanlal teaming up with LJP, or Unni Mukundan making a bunch of movie announcements on his birthday, this week was pretty intense.

2017 actress assault case: Kerala HC dismisses victim’s plea to change the trial court
On Thursday, the Kerala High Court on Thursday dismissed the plea filed by the victim of the 2017 actress assault case to transfer the trial of the case, to another lower court. Justice Ziyad Rahman AA rejected the victim's plea in which she had alleged that Dileep, the eight accused in the case, had close ties to the trial judge Honey M Varghese and her husband.

Mammootty wraps up his portion for ‘Christopher’
Superstar Mammootty who was filming for ‘Christopher’ directed by B Unnikrishnan, wrapped up his portions on Friday (Sep 23). “Mammukka finished his stint in Christopher today. It was magical filming him. Thank you for everything, Mammukka,” the director said confirming the same. The upcoming film is said to be a thriller, and the team will be wrapping up the entire shoot real soon.

Fahadh and Nazriya share the screen
After winning hearts with their collaboration in films ‘Bangalore Days’ and ‘Trance’, star couple Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim are teaming up once again. The duo recently shared a video titled ‘Love has many flavours’, which is apparently an advertisement promo. Though the couple haven’t disclosed details of the video, the 1:22 video

Unni Mukundan has a bunch of releases
Unni Mukundan turned 35 on Thursday (Sep 22), and a handful of films were announced on the same day. The actor has three films with Jayaraj - ‘Pramadhavanam’, ‘Mehfil’, and ‘Kadhikan’. The actor has also roped in to play the lead role in ‘Yemaha’. And another exciting project is ‘Gandharva Jr.’ which is reportedly a science fiction film.

Mohanlal to team up with LJP?
Mammootty has completed a film with acclaimed director Lijo Jose Pellissery, and some reports suggest that Mohanlal too is in discussion for a film. After wrapping up ‘Ram’, superstar Mohanlal will apparently discuss the film with LJP and if everything goes well, they will begin shoot by January 2023.
