Makers of ‘Jana Gana Mana’ launched the much-awaited trailer, with a grand ceremony. Starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, the trailer hinted at a political thriller, and the interesting trailer grabbed the attention of the cinephiles for all the right reasons. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s acting chops in the trailer too made headlines. ‘Jana Gana Mana’ directed by Dijo Jose Antony is slated for release on April 28.

‘Super Sharanya’ actress Mamitha Baiju is making her debut in Tamil with the upcoming Suriya starrer, tentatively titled ‘#Suriya41’. Directed by Bala, the film went on the floor on Monday (Mar 28) and she will be apparently seen playing a village belle in the film. Krithi Shetty has been roped in as the leading lady, and as per the reports, Suriya is playing the role of a fisherman in the film.

Film Exhibitors United Organisation of Kerala (FEUOK) revokes the ban on actor-producer Dulquer Salmaan. The actor was banned by the organization on March 15 for releasing his film ‘Salute’ on OTT. Dulquer Salmaan was the lead actor in ‘Salute’ and he also backed the film. However, the actor’s production company has apparently given a convincing explanation to FEUOK and the ban is lifted.

The Regional International Film Festival of Kerala (RIFFK) has commenced on April 1 in Kochi. Mohanlal inaugurated the five-day-long film festival. Bangladeshi film ‘Rehana Maryam Noor’ directed by Abdullah Mohammad Saad was the opening film of RIFFK 2022. About 70 films including 'Clara Sola', the Costa Rican entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards, and the restored ‘Kummatty’, helmed by iconic filmmaker G Aravindan, will be featured at RIFFK.

Kunchacko Boban’s debut film ‘Aniyathipravu’ clocked 25 years since its initial release this week. Directed by Fazil, ‘Aniyathipravu’ featured Kunchacko Boban and Shalini in the lead roles, and the romantic drama emerged as one of the most popular romantic dramas made in Malayalam cinema. “As “ANIYATHIPRAVU” & “SUDHI” turns sweet 25, I cannot still apprehend what all has passed in front of my eyes and happened in my life. This all seems so surrealistic and Magical that it makes my heart skip a beat and feel so emotional!!!! I take this moment to thank the Almighty for all the blessings!!!” Kunchacko Boban said in his social media note. The actor also promised that he will give his best to entertain the audience. “Last but not the least….to the generation of audience who took the movie and me into their hearts and their life. The love which still flows unhindered and unadulterated… am humbled to receive so much of this unconditional love, support, prayers, warmth and acceptance. So, this is a promise from me… that I will give you all… more than my �� percent.. to entertain you all with many more memorable movies and characters!!!” he said concluding the note.
