Recently, a few news reports had come out hinting that
actor Tini Tom
is one of the Mollywood artistes involved in the
Shamna Kasim
blackmail case.
Recently, the actor posted an online video, explaining his stand on the issue and revealing that he has registered complaints against those accusing him of involvement in the case.
The actor said in the video, “For a long time I have been thinking I should open up about a few things to people who love me. I am someone who have faced a lot of cyber-attack. All were those aiming at misleading people against me, deliberately. The first one was that I spoke against Modiji in an online post. If you check my posts, you can see I hadn’t said anything on those lines. I have never supported any political ideologies, my politics is art.”
He goes on to say that next, he was accused of saying wrongful things against Bigg Boss participant Rejith Kumar, in a TV channel’s programme. “What I performed there was based on a script given by the channel. I myself have never said a word against them. A husband and wife used to regularly call and abuse me on this issue and once, as I am no saint, I also reacted. These people edited that bit and spread it online. Many who heard it had told me too that they felt it is something I was made to say after provoking me.”
The actor goes on to say that his reason for the new video is the allegation that he is involved in Shamna Kasim blackmail case. “Police hasn’t called me or taken a statement. Why not check with DGP or other superior officers? I have complained to MLA and MP about this. I have a family, wife and child. And I am here after a lot of hard work. I don’t claim to be a great mimicry artiste or actor and I have never laid hands on anything I don’t deserve,” Tini says.
