Tovino Thomas’ ‘Ajayante Randam Moshanam’ starts rolling; Krithi Shetty joins the cast

Tovino Thomas starrer ‘Ajayante Randam Moshanam’ has officially kickstarted with a formal muhurat puja held at Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu! It has also been confirmed that Krithi Shetty has joined the cast. The gorgeous actress was present at the puja ceremony clad in a white ethnic saree. ‘Ajayante Randam Moshanam’ will mark her debut in Malayalam cinema. The film is helmed by debutant Jithin Lal.

The upcoming film will be having a pan-Indian release. Tovino Thomas is headlining the film and Krithi Shetty has roped in as female lead. The upcoming film is set in the 1900s, 1950s, and 1990s, and speaking to Kochi Times earlier, director Jithin Lal said, “The film is something that will be new to Malayali audiences; it will be like a grandmother’s narration of folklore rooted in local culture. It is an entertainer that delves into fantasy, adventure and thriller modes. The story is told from the perspective of Ajayan in the 1990s and looks at how his ancestors have influenced his life.”

‘Ajayante Randam Moshanam’ will see Tovino Thomas in three different roles named Ajayan, Maniyan, and Kunjikelu. Kunjikelu, is a kalari warrier, while Maniyan is a dark horse who uses his martial arts skills and Ajayan is someone who is studying it in his town, and participates in competitions. Tovino Thomas has also taken kalari lessons for the film, and the director earlier said, “He now has the physique, with lean muscles, that is apt for a kalari practitioner. The film also gives him ample scope to use his performance skills as an actor, because the three characters have to seem like three very different people. It will be like an acting competition for him.”
