Tovino Thomas injured on sets: Actor is recovering, needs three weeks The news about Tovino Thomas being admitted in a private hospital in Kochi after succumbing to an internal injury has created havoc among the Malayali movie buffs. As per reports, the actor is in

intensive care unit

under observation.

A close friend of the actor tells us that Tovino Thomas is fine. "Doctor has asked him to take three weeks rest. The injury happened two days back while shooting an action sequence for Kala. It has huge actions sequences. He was having unbearable stomach pain and was taken to hospital today. There is a nerve bleeding and he will be fine after three weeks rest," he says.

A doctor from the hospital informs that the actor is stable. “There is an internal hemorrhage and he is under observation,” he says.

Kala directed by Rohith VS is a thriller that would touch upon the concept of human revolution. As per those associated with the movie, the film has some intense actions sequences. The movie also features Lal and Divya Pillai in the lead. Apart from them the movie also have actor Sumesh Moor, and a dog named Bazigar in prominent roles. Rohit who had earlier made films such as

Adventures of Omanakuttan

and Ibilis has written Kala along with newbie Yadhu Pushpakaran. It is said that the film will explore the concept of man vs nature.

Tovino was acting in superhero movie Minnal Murali directed by Basil Joseph just before lockdown. Since the film will not resume its shoot soon as its climax sequence requires a large mob to picturise it, Tovino joined the sets of Kala on September 5.
