Tovino Thomas, Nazriya Nazim team up: Muhsin Parari announces new film; Zakariya joins as co-writer

Writer-filmmaker Muhsin Parari has unveiled his next directorial, with Tovino Thomas and Nazriya Nazim set to play the lead roles. The announcement was made on Wednesday (September 17) via social media, where the team also shared a casting call for fresh faces.Taking to his Instagram handle, Muhsin shared the casting call poster and penned, "CASTING CALL Looking for actors for an upcoming Malayalam movie starring Nazriya Nazim & Tovino Thomas, directed by Muhsin Parari and written by Muhsin Parari & Zakariya."The screenplay has been jointly written by Muhsin Parari and filmmaker Zakariya, best known for 'Sudani From Nigeria'. This marks another collaboration between Muhsin and Tovino, who earlier worked together in 'Virus' and the stylish entertainer 'Thallumaala which was directed by Khalid Rahman.Check out the post hereTovino was last seen in a striking cameo as Micheal/Chathan in the blockbuster 'Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra'. Recently the makers shared the character poster for Tovino Thomas in the Kalyani Priyadarshan led movie and penned an Instagram note that read, "The mysterious world of #Lokah is expanding ! Introducing Chathan from the world of Lokah." The next movie from 'Lokah' universe is reportedly the Tovino's segment and the expectations are high.Meanwhile, Muhsin’s previously announced film 'Thantha Vibe', also starring Tovino, is still in pre-production and will go on floors only in late 2026 or early 2027. Tovino was also seen in the thriller film 'Narivetta' which had received decent reviews from the audiences.On the other hand, Nazriya's previous outing in Mollywood was with the suspense drama movie 'Sookshmadarshini' which also had Basil Joseph in the lead. The movie which had a Hitchcock style narrative, turned out to be a superhit. Nazriya will be next seen in the Tamil web series 'The Madras Mystery - Fall of a superstar'.
