Tovino Thomas took a trip down memory lane as he marked 14 years since facing the camera for the first time. On Wednesday, January 28, Tovino Thomas dropped a video on Instagram, recalling the first time he stood in front of the camera. 14 years down the lane, he has completed over 50 films, and bagged multiple awards, including the Special Jury mention at the 55th Kerala State Film Awards, which was presented on January 25.
In a note that accompanied the video, Tovino Thomas reflected on his illustrious career and journey. “14 years ago today, I faced a movie camera for the very first time—unaware of the journey it would begin. Grateful for every soul who walked this path with me. Love you all,” Tovino Thomas.
The ‘Lokah’ actor concluded the note with the iconic dialogue from Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Om Shanti Om’. “Picture abhi baaki hai, mere dost,” Tovino Thomas said.

Tovino Thomas wins a Special Jury Mention for ‘ARM’
Tovino Thomas and Asif Ali received Special Jury Mentions for ‘ARM’ and ‘Kishkindha Kaandam’, respectively, at the 55th Kerala State Film Awards. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan presented the awards to the winners at the Nishagandhi auditorium in Trivandrum on Sunday, January 25.
During his address, Tovino Thomas said, “Both I and Asif can proudly say that we just missed it to Mammukka, we competed with Mammukka, and the audience's love is the biggest award we receive.” Mammootty won the best actor award for his performance in ‘Bramayugam’.
Mammootty lauded both Tovino and Asif in his acceptance speech. “Awards are always an encouragement for an artist. They are not even a millimetre behind me. They are with me. I may have received the award because I am older in age,” the superstar said.
