Tovino Thomas to direct Sreenivasan

Tovino Thomas will be directing Sreenivasan in an upcoming movie. Before you get you ante up, the actor will be doing it in Salim Ahamed film

And The Oscar Goes To

. The movie has Tovino playing a filmmaker who struggles to make his first film.

On the movie, Tovino had earlier told us, “Salimikka is someone that I admire a lot. It’s about a film taking its director to the Oscars and so I had to draw a lot of inspiration from him. He has served as a jury member for several international film festivals and his movies have a following all around the world. When you are working with a director like that, you have so much to learn. His writing is intense and when you read the lines they tug at your heartstrings. And these are not scenes about death or grief but his take on routine incidents in our lives. I am a very emotional person and in every scene, he’s incorporated such elements – be it about relationships or other incidents that I could connect well with because I work in the film industry.”

The team has already wrapped up shooting of the movie, which had Canada and Kerala as its main locations.
