‘Trance’: Five reasons why this Anwar Rasheed directorial is a must watch

The wait is over! The most awaited movie of 2020, ‘Trance’ is hitting the screens tomorrow. M-Town is going to witness a feature film from filmmaker Anwar Rasheed after a break of eight years, tomorrow and by now, you know what to expect out of it. Although the makers haven’t revealed much about the Fahadh Faasil-starrer, it will surely give the audience a whole new cinematic experience.Also produced by Anwar Rasheed Entertainments, ‘Trance’ has a dreamy cast and the most talented technical crew. Here’s taking a look at what makes ‘Trance’ a must-watch this Thursday (February 20).

'Trance' marks the second innings of talented filmmaker Anwar Rasheed. The phenomenal director who began his career with a kickass cult movie like 'Rajamanikyam' in 2005, at an age where the audience was so reluctant to change their views is now back with yet another movie. Although Anwar was active in showbiz, he has been away from filmmaking for the past six years. Anwar’s last movie was ‘5 Sundarikal’, wherein he directed a segment. And his last feature film was ‘Usthad Hotel’, which was released in 2012. So this eight-year wait won’t go in vain for sure! ‘Trance’ is an ‘Anwar Rasheed Movie’ and you know what to expect out of it!

Fahadh Faasil is undoubtedly one of the most seasoned actors we have now. Fahadh Faasil will be essaying the character of Viju Prasad, who is a motivational trainer. The movie will track his development at various phases of life and will take the audience through the mental and emotional stages of the character. ‘Trance’ is regarded as one of the career-high projects of Fahadh. The duo has earlier collaborated for the ‘Aami’ segment in ‘5 Sundarikal’ and the rest is history! Also, the song and trailer released by the makers of the film suggest that M-Town has much more to see from Fahadh Faasil.

‘Trance’ also has a stellar cast. As Anwar Rasheed is making a feature film after eight years, the filmmaker has selected some of the finest artists from the industry. As we know, Fahadh Faasil plays the lead. Tamil director Gautham Vasudev Menon has been roped in to play a pivotal character in the movie. Nazriya Nazim is the leading lady. Also, actors like Soubin Shahir, Vinayakan, and Chemban Vinod Jose have been roped in to play some of the important characters in the movie. Apart from them, actors Dileesh Pothan, Sreenath Bhasi, and Jinu Joseph will be seen essaying the supporting cast.

The makers have cast Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim to play the lead characters. Nazriya is essaying Esther Lopez, the leading lady in the movie. We have seen Fahadh and Nazriya romancing in 'Bangalore Days', but it was prior to their wedding. 'Trance' is their first movie together post-marriage. Whether the real-life couple are paired in the movie or not is currently unknown, however, the duo will obviously rock it on-screen.

Anwar Rasheed has picked the best team for 'Trance'. Cinematographer-filmmaker Amal Neerad is cranking the lens. Anwar has earlier collaborated with Amal for '5 Sundarikal' and we know what the results were! Also, Anwar Rasheed has opted for Oscar-winning musician Resul Pookkutty for the sound design of the film. Debutant Vincent Vadakkan is crafting the story of the movie and we totally rely on the director’s choice as he has made wonders with debutants earlier.
