‘Turbo’ OTT release: Mammootty starrer to start digital streaming soon

Mammootty's recent box office success, the action-packed entertainer 'Turbo,' is gearing up for its digital debut on the popular OTT platform.

According to reports from OTT Play, the streaming rights for 'Turbo' have been acquired by Sony LIV for a substantial sum. The film is reportedly slated to start streaming by the first week of July 2024.

'Turbo' follows the adventurous tale of Aruvipurathu Jose, affectionately known as Turbo Jose, portrayed by Mammootty. The story unfolds as Jose, entangled in a predicament involving his friend Jerry and a woman named Indhulekha, is compelled to move to Chennai. However, his arrival in Chennai sets off a series of events that thrust him into the unfavorable company of Vetrivel Shamugha Sundaram, a local thug essayed by Raj B. Shetty.

The film boasts a talented ensemble cast including Bindu Panicker, Kabir Duhan Singh, Niranjana Anoop, Shabareesh Varma, and Anjana Jayaprakash in pivotal roles, enhancing the narrative with their performances. Christo Xavier's music further complements the dynamic storyline penned by the writer-director Midhun Manuel Thomas.

Meanwhile, Mammootty's previous outing was with the horror drama movie 'Bramayugam', which was directed by Rahul Sadasivan. The movie received good reviews from the audience and turned out to be a superhit.
