Unni Mukundan has emerged as one of the most bankable actors in the Malayalam movie industry, especially since the massive success of ‘Malikappuram’ released in 2022. The actor has signed some promising projects in Malayalam and Tamil including ‘Jai Ganesh’, ‘Gandharva Jr.’ and ‘Garudan’. The charming star has recently revealed that he received some offers from Hindi cinema as well.
While talking to TNIE, Unni Mukundan stated that he was offered some sex comedies from Bollywood, however, he had to turn it down, as he wasn’t fond of being part of such genres. “I'm not keen on being part of such films,” he said. The actor also expressed that these days the barries between the film industries are blurring out.
Meanwhile, Unni Mukundan’s ‘Jai Ganesh’ is set to hit the big screens on April 11. Directed by Ranjith Sankar, ‘Jai Ganesh’ has Unni Mukundan and Mahima Nambiar in the lead roles. The film also has actors Ravindra Vijay, Jomol, Hareesh Perady, Ashokan, Nandhu, Benzi Mathews, Srikanth K Vijayan, Ann Saleem, and Vinod Rajan in supporting roles. The upcoming film is said to have elements of fantasy, and the director had earlier stated that ‘Jai Ganesh’ was “an extremely demanding script that traverses between reality and imagination.”
