Unni Mukundan starrer ‘Jai Ganesh’ is set to hit the big screens on April 11, ahead of Vishu. The team has now confirmed that the film has been censored, and has received a clean U. The film has a run time of 125.16 minutes. ‘Jai Ganesh’ features Unni Mukundan in the lead role. He plays Ganesh Gangadharan, a paraplegic, bound to his wheelchair, with bigger dreams.

As the film has completed its censorship process, Unni Mukundan took to his social media handle to announce the same. In his note, he said, “#JaiGanesh has been certified with a clean U rating. See you in theaters worldwide on April 11th, 2024!”

‘Jai Ganesh’ is directed by Ranjith Sankar. In an earlier interview with ETimes, Unni Mukundan shared that the character he plays in ‘Jai Ganesh’ is quite challenging, “I play a specially-abled character. It's one of the most challenging and inspiring roles in my career, both physically and emotionally. We have three scripts ready for Ganesh, which will be a series of movies with a universal subject. The plan is to dub and release it in multiple languages. This decision is driven by the desire to reach a wider audience, appreciating the diversity of viewership preferences, including those who prefer watching movies on OTT platforms.”

Unni Mukundan’s ‘Jai Ganesh’ will be locking horns with Pranav Mohanlal-Dhyan Sreenivasan’s ‘Varshangalkku Shesham’ and Fahadh Faasil’s ‘Aavesham’.
