Uproar over Girija theatre not screening Angamaly Diaries

has come under fire, for not screening the film

. However, the owner of the theatre has claimed that Bengalis are attending the film's shows en masse and are creating a ruckus. The owner has also claimed that the makers have paid the Bengali workers for attending the show, to prevent the film from going out of theatres owing to a lack of audience.

However, the makers of Angamaly Diaries have reacted strongly against the move. There is no need of a paid audience for a film like Angamaly Diaries, they say.
