Vaikom Vijayalakshmi calls off her wedding

Popular singer Vaikom Vijayalakshmi, who was engaged to Bahrain based Malayali Santhosh has called off her wedding. According to her parents, After the engagement Santhoshhad put forward a few conditions which were unacceptable for the bride's side.
"Yes, we have cancelled the wedding. It is better to say a 'no' in the beginning than regretting later," says Vijayalakshmi's dad.
The duo were supposed to enter the wedlock at Vaikom Mahadeva Temple between 9 am and 11.30 am on March 29. The alliance is said to have come through matrimonial advertisement and the singer had revealed that she would continue her singing career even after the wedding.
