Vedhika turns photographer for her next

Actress Vedhika has been experimenting quite a bit with her onscreen roles of late, and recently, she also got a taste of what it is like to work behind camera. The 'James and Alice' actress, who is currently shooting for her next Malayalam film '

Welcome to Central Jail

', plays a photographer-cum-videographer named Radhika in the movie.

Vedhika says, 'I am a technically challenged person and so, playing with these equipment on screen wasn't easy for me. I had to learn the basics of operating cameras, adjusting lights, the technicalities involved, and more. I got to experience what it is like to handle the camera and once I got an idea, it felt cool.' While Radhika's profession is stylish, she is a simple girl from a middleclass background, adds Vedhika. 'In my debut movie Sringaravelan, my name was Radha and I also like it that my name in this film is similar to it. I feel there is a certain charm about it,' says the actress.

She is also thrilled to be working with her debut hero in Malayalam Dileep, who plays a jail inmate in this movie. 'His spontaneous expressions and one liners crack me up all the time ' I can't stop laughing while shooting with him! Just like 'Sringaravelan', this film will also be an Onam release.' The actress is also shooting for her Tamil film 'Vinodan', directed by Victor Jayaraj.
