‘Vettaiyan’ actor Sabumon responds to criticism over legal support towards Prayaga Martin

Actor Sabumon spoke recently about rising criticism of his legal support towards actress Prayaga Martin who was allegedly connected to a gangster named Om Prakash in connection with a drug case. Prayaga was even cleared by the police that there was nothing against her as she never had any connection to all the anti-social activities that were reported in connection with this case. However, reports surfaced that Sabumon provided her with legal aid, sparking debate among some of his acquaintances and the public.

According to On Manorama, during a recent interaction, while promoting the film 'Vettaiyan', Sabumon clarified his stand on the matter. He revealed that help to Prayaga was motivated due to their close friendship. The actor candidly shared that some of his friends and family, including those who have reminded him about his responsibilities as a father, have questioned his involvement in the case. However, Sabumon remained unfazed by the criticisms and defended his choice to stand by Prayaga.

Sabumon said that he cannot be afraid of all the accusations that come with this kind of case. According to him, the media and the public should not judge people easily without having all the information available. He advised Prayaga to face the media rather than hide to get over such criticism.

As for Prayaga Martin, she has maintained her innocence, testifying that she had no prior acquaintance with Om Prakash and was unaware of the rave party at the luxury hotel she visited at the insistence of friends. Along with Prayaga, the actor Sreenath Bhasi was also accused of allegedly having a connection with Om Prakash.
