Vidharth to drive a lorry in his Mollywood foray

The Tamil film Mynaa is memorable because it gave actress Amala Paul her big break in tinsel town. Her performance in the film was equally supported by her co-actor Vidharth, who is now gearing up to make his Mollywood debut.

The actor has been cast in Hallelooya director Sudhi Anna's upcoming Tamil-Malayalam bilingual, Gadothgajan. 'The film is set in the backdrop of a village near the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. Vidharth plays the role of a lorry driver and his love and friendships take the plot forward,' says Sudhi.
The actor says that he is excited to be part of Malayalam film industry and it was the movie's script by Mozhi scribe Radha Mohan that persuaded him to sign the film.

'I have been listening to a lot of scripts from the Malayalam film industry. And when I heard the story of Gadothgajan, I felt this would be an apt movie to make a mark in Mollywood. I was convinced that my character would make a similar impact as that in Mynaa,' he says.

Vidharth is currently doing his homework to essay the character. 'Though a lot of actors have portrayed similar roles, this character would stand out and the audience too look at it from a different viewpoint,' he adds. The movie will begin filming by September at Bodi Mettu and Munnar.
