Recently, director
Vinayan took to his Instagram handle and released the 13th character look poster of his upcoming historical drama film ‘Pathonpatham Noottandu’, featuring actor Ramu as Travancore diwan. Vinayan also penned a note along with the poster, detailing the complete history of the real Travancore diwan and also on why he chose Ramu to play the role. He announced the movie to be released next year and the team is currently filming the climax portion of the film.

’ revolves around the story of Arattupuzha Velayudha Panicker, who lived in the 19th century. The lead role will be helmed by actor
Siju Wilson and his character poster and BTS stills went viral in the initial days of the Pre-Production of the film. The rest of the cast in the film includes
Poonam Bajwa, Indrans,
Sudev Nair, Deepti Sati, Chemban Vinod Jose, Jaffer Idukki, etc.
Director Vinayan’s filmography witnessed some of the most experimental, sci-fi, horror genres and most of them received much appraise from critics and the normal audience as well. His ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ inspired film ‘Athbhutha Dweepu’, ‘Vellinakshathram’,’ Athisayan’, all paved way for the newcomers in the film industry to think of those subjects that could have an international reach and to experiment with new subjects with a level of entertainment.
Coming to ‘Pathombatham Noottandu’, Vinayan is aiming higher with a big-budget period drama film and the original story has the scope of exciting the audience with grand aesthetic visuals, which would be reminiscent to 2009 film ‘Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja’, starring Mammootty.
