‘Samara’s’ crew has already started shooting the film in North India. The film, which is a forensic investigation thriller, has Moothon fame Sanjana Dipu also in a prominent role.
Earlier, Charles had told us, “The film’s title Samara is a Hebrew word, which means protected by God. It’s not the name of a character. The story is connected with an issue that transpired in 1939, during the Second World War.” Rahman plays a suspense character in the movie. “All we can divulge is that he plays the role of an investigator, but revealing the type of investigator or other details would spoil the suspense,” Charles had said.
Tamil actor Bharat also plays an equally prominent role in the film. Sanjana Dipu’s role is that of a medical student. Rahul Madhav, Binoj Vilya, Veer Aryan, Shabareesh Varma, Viviya Santh and Neet Chowdhary are also part of the cast.
The movie has Kashmir, Kulu, Atal Tunnel and nearby regions as the main locations. Samara marks the first full-length feature film of Charles, who has previously directed an anthology movie.
