Babu Antony sings ‘Poovenam Pooppadavenam’ song

is an expert at martial arts, but apparently he is into singing too.

The star, who will be seen next in the

Omar Lulu movie

‘Power Star,’ recently uploaded an audio of him singing the song ‘Poo Venam Pooppada Venam’ from the film ‘Oru Minnaminunginte Nurungu Vettom,’ on his online social media page. Sharing the song, he captioned it thus:

Film "Orun Minnaminunginte Nurungu Vetton". I fell in love with both the movie and the songs instantly. A humble attempt, recorded on a cell phone at home. Forgive the flaws (sic)

The actor has been getting a lot of positive feedback from his fans, about his rendition of the track from the 1987 film that was directed by Bharathan. The movie, which was about an elderly, childless couple played by actress Sharadha and actor Nedumudi Venu, had won many awards too including the State Film Award and Filmfare South Awards. Actors Parvathy and Devan had also played major roles in the movie.

As for Babu Antony, he had also sung for his followers on the occasion of Onam. Singing the famous song ‘Maveli Naadu Vaaneedum Kaalam,’ the actor had said on his page:

Attempting my favorite Onam song!. I never sang more than 4 lines in my entire life. Thought of attempting this one since nothing much is happening otherwise this year, and celebrate Onam.
