In the video, veteran Malayalam singer P Jayachandran can be seen singing a sweet melodious song, which is apparently written and also composed by him. The song, that goes ‘Mindaathathenthanu Kanmani,’ is a romantic track.

The singer, sitting on the floor, can be seen playing the harmonium and holding the song’s lyrics on his lap, while singing. Recently, he had told us that he has song a few songs for upcoming projects by music director Bijibal and a few other young composers.

During the lockdown, an unconventional photo of the singer had gone viral, in which one could see him posing with his flexed muscles and stylish moustache. The 76-year-old singer had then told us that it was a photo shot by one of his friends, which was then shared by the friend on social media. Even Kerala’s agriculture minister V S Sunil Kumar had asked him whether the photo was morphed or how did he get to be so muscular.

When we quizzed whether he is into gymming, Jayachandran had told us, “Not at all. I just do simple exercises at home that are suitable for my age. For years together, every day, I apply oil on my body before taking a bath. To ensure it is absorbed by the body, I do a few light exercises such as sit ups for half an hour. That’s all. I am also a pure vegetarian; I don’t overeat or indulge in fried food.”
