This Valentine’s season, East Coast Vijayan returns with yet another gift for fans and its the song 'Ithiri Ponnoru' from his upcoming film 'Bhishmar' starring Vishu Unnikrishnan and Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead
‘Ithiri Ponnoru’: A fresh campus love melody
The newly released track features lyrics by B.K. Harinarayanan, music composed by Ranjin Raj and vocals by Anila Rajeev.
East Coast Vijayan shared the song through Facebook, writing: “Aadyamaay Thonniyorishtam… a feeling that never truly fades. Here is the Valentine’s Day special song cut from Bhishmar. Happy Valentine’s Day! Song: Ithiriponnoru Film: Bhishmar Music: Ranjin Raj Lyrics: Harinarayan B K Singer Anila Rajeev Directed by East Coast Vijayan.”
Social media quickly responded with affection. Comments poured in saying, “Beautiful song,” and “Valentines day wishes.” Another user wrote, “പ്രണയദിനാശംസകൾ (‘Happy Valentine’s Day’).”
'Bhishmar' stars Dhyan Sreenivasan and Vishnu Unnikrishnan in lead roles, marking their first on-screen collaboration. Notably, it is also Vijayan’s second project with Vishnu Unnikrishnan after their work together in 'Kallanum Bhagavathiyum' which also featured Divya Pillai and Ammera as the female leads.
This marks the eighth production under the East Coast Communications banner. The story is penned by Ansaj Gopi. Ratheesh Ram handles cinematography, while Johnkutty manages editing. The film includes five songs composed by Ranjin Raj and K.A. Latheef, with lyrics contributed by B.K. Harinarayanan, Santhosh Varma, and O.M. Karuvarakkundu.
The extensive technical crew includes art director Boban, costume designer Manjusha Radhakrishnan, makeup artist Salam Arookkutty, stunt experts Phoenix Prabhu and Mafia Sasi, sound designer Sachin Sudhakaran, and mixer Vishnu Sujathan. VFX is led by Nithin Neduvathoor, while Liju Prabhakar handles color grading.
Subhash Ilambal serves as chief associate director, Mami Jo as designer, and Aji Muscat as still photographer. Sajith Krishnan works as executive producer, and Rajeev Perumbavoor as production controller. The film’s PRO is Pratheesh Sekhar, and the audio label is East Coast Audio Entertainments.
Filming completed; March release confirmed
'Bhishmar' was shot over a single 42-day schedule in and around Palakkad. With post-production nearing completion, the film is scheduled for a March release.
