Mudhugauv

Mudhugauv
Album: Mudhugauv

Predictable, but pleasant compositions seem to be the flavour of the season with many Mollywood albums banking on music styles that have managed to grab some attention in the past. It isnt different with 'Mudhugauv' either. Its songs are fun, but not devoid of inspirations or influences.
The films theme is introduced with 'Kathum Theeyaanumma.' sung by Rahul Raj and Chinmayi.
1x1 polls
The song is all about what an umma aka kiss is. Quirky, melodious and catchy, it gets the groove going with some funky arrangements. The singers have let their hair down to come up with effective renditions that suits the composition.

Rambo, the next song, comfortably piggybacks on the stirring vocals of Vijay Yesudas and its a peppy swing number with some western touches. The song sounds similar to Michael Jacksons The Way You Make Me Feel at many junctures, but some clever regionalisation has worked for the track. Its character-extolling lyrics, however, suggest that Rambo makes for a better watch than a mere listening.
Haricharan sings the last song Thoo Minnal, in which romance reigns supreme both in the lyrics and the tune. His butter soft voice does it a world of good but except for that, the song isnt hooking.
'Mughugauv' would be a routine pep-fizz masti album, if not for some genuine renditions.
