Sayanora urges everyone to do organ donation
On Doctor’s Day, which falls on July 1,
The singer, who is also the music composer of the upcoming Indrajeeth Sukumaran starrer movie ‘Aaha,’ said in her video, “In India, there is a huge gap between individuals who need organ transplants and the actual number of organs available for transplants. In our country, the organ donation rate is 0.65 per million, and the number is very low, we definitely need to increase the numbers. So, the best way is to create awareness among public about organ donation. So, I support and salute the Gynaecology Society of Kannur, and the National Organisation Fogsi (Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India) as they have joined hands to donate organs, on July 1, 2020. I have decided to pledge my organs, have you?”
Meanwhile, Bibin Paul Samuel’s ‘Aaha’ is Sayanora’s third movie as a music director, after the films ‘Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri’ starring Suraj Venjaramoodu and ‘Mangalyam Thanthunanena’ that had Kunchacko Boban and Nimisha Sajayan in major roles. Earlier, she had revealed that she is creating a range of musical styles through the four songs for the tug of war-based movie. The musician was also in news recently for volunteering during the Lockdown at the Kannur district administration’s call centre, which offered a free delivery of grocery services. She had also started Saya’s Stay Home Musical Series on Instagram during the lockdown period.
