4th Jio Filmfare Awards Marathi 2018: Nominations for the best film

Faster Fene

Aditya Sarpotdar's 'Faster Fene' is nominated in the best film category at the 4th Jio Filmfare Awards Marathi 2018. The film starred Amey Wagh, Girish Kulkarni, Parna Pethe and Dilip Prabhavalkar, in eminent roles. 'Faster Fene' brought to us the story of Banesh Fene (Amey Wagh) a witty adventurous boy with great detective skills. The film was a murder mystery. The movie was praised and well appreciated by the audience.

Hrudayantar

'Hrudayantar', which happened to be Vikram Phadnis's directorial debut, was a heartfelt story and it has rightfully earned a place in the category of Best Films at the 4th Jio Filmfare Awards Marathi 2018. Subodh Bhave and Mukta Barve as the leading couple have played their roles with finesse. The story revolves around the couple trying to pick up on their 12 years of a deteriorated relationship and simultaneously fighting for their own daughter who is battling with cancer. The film has an emotional impact that touches your heart.

Kaccha Limbu

Prasad Oak’s directorial debut 'Kaccha Limbu' is another film that is included in the Best Film category at the 4th Jio Filmfare Awards Marathi 2018. The story unfolds how parents constantly struggle to protect their mentally ill child while raising him. This story is about the roller coaster of emotions they face while trying to balance things along with looking after their child. This emotion evoking story is beautifully portrayed in the movie. It starred Sachin Khedekar, Sonali Kulkarni, Ravi Jadhav, Manmeet Pem, and others. This masterpiece by Prasad was critically acclaimed and also won the National Award.

Lapachhapi

Vishal Furia forayed into the horror genre with 'Lapachhapi' and surprised everyone with its amazing plot. This horror movie takes the place in the nominations for the Best Film category at 4th Jio Filmfare Awards Marathi 2018. The story is about how the spirits in a sugarcane field cause a threat to an eight-month pregnant woman who lives in the village with her husband. The cinematography and the sound have done their parts better than any other aspect of the movie. This film has some elements of Hollywood horror flicks.

Muramba

This romcom was directed by Varun Narvekar and it stars Amey Wagh, Mithila Palkar, Sachin Khedekar, Varun Narvekar, and others. The story begins with the break-up of Alok and Indu. It's about how parents constantly try to sort the problems faced by the couple and make the relationship stable by giving a dose of their experiences, including generation gaps and a difference in ideologies. This story connects to the people as everyone at some or the other point has gone through the same. Thus the movie is worth the appreciation and hence, it is nominated in the Best Film category by the 4th Jio Filmfare Awards Marathi 2018.

Ti Saddhya Kay Karte

'Ti Saddhya Kay Karte' was directed by Satish Rajwade and this love story features Ankush Chaudhari, Tejashree Pradhan, Abhinay Berde and Aarya Ambekar. This movie will take you to the college days romance which will bring alive your teenage memories. The other highlight of the film is the music and the songs that will for sure mesmerize you. The story goes like Anurag wondering about his first love Tanvi, whom he hasn't seen in years and suddenly at the college reunion he finds her contact details. What a lovely turn the movie takes when they reconnect after a long time apart is amazingly pictured.
