The 7th edition of Planet Marathi presents Filmfare Awards Marathi 2022, held on 30th March for celebrating the work of cinematic excellence brought together by an army of artists whose love for films goes beyond words. The night acknowledged the work of every person who made Marathi cinema what it is today and is working every day to make it even better.
Several awards were announced today, including one of the most prestigious ones - ‘The Lifetime Achievement Award’. And the celebrity whose contribution to the world of Marathi cinema was recognized with this award was - Dr. Jabbar Patel.
Dr. Jabbar Patel is a Marathi-language theatre and film director who made his name in the industry with movies like'Samna', 'Sinhasan', 'Mukta', 'Umbartha' and many more. His work in 'Jait Re Jait', which was released in 1977 was nothing less than a masterpiece. He has always been lauded for his work. We cannot imagine anyone more deserving than him for the category.
