Amit Dolawat to portray Sane Guruji in Shahir Sable's ‘Maharashtra Shahir’

After an outstanding career in the Hindi television industry, Amit makes his debut in Marathi cinema with Kedar Shine's ‘Maharashtra Shahir’.

The right mentor in one’s life can take him to the height of success and it was evident in the relationship between Shahir Sable and his mentor Sane Guruji! ‘Maharashtra Shahir’, the biopic being produced on Shahir Sable in his ongoing centenary year also has the character of Sane Guruji being played by leading actor Amit Dolawat.

Keeping their style of the stunning audience by revealing surprising information related to the actors playing key personalities in the life of Shahir, the producer-director of the film has revealed the information about the role played by Amit. The information was made public on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sane Guruji on December 24.

Shahir Sable was a true disciple of Sane Guruji who moulded Sable’s life in a true sense and was responsible for many turns of his life. On the occasion of the Guruji’s birth anniversary, the first glimpse of Sane Guruji’s character in ‘Maharashtra Shahir’ was revealed on Saturday. An ideal relationship between a disciple and a mentor will unfold in the film.

The biopic on Shahir Sable who gave ‘Jai Jai Maharashtra Majha’, the state song of Maharashtra, is all set to release in the theatre near you on April 28, 2023.

Commenting on Dolawat's cast for Sane Guruji, Kedar Shinde said, “Sane Guruji played a pivotal role in the life of my grandfather, Shahir Sable. Guruji was his mentor and had moulded his life with good turns. I am happy that Amit is playing Guruji’s role. He is a talented actor from the Hindi television industry. Legendary Krishnarao Ganpatrao Sable, popularly known as Shahir Sable was a well-known singer, writer, playwright and actor. He was the one who gave the state its unofficial anthem 'Jai Jai Maharashtra Maza'.

The film is slated to release on April 28 2023.
