'Dashavatar' box office collection day 10: The Marathi suspense thriller mints Rs 3 crore on Sunday; crosses Rs 15 crore

The Marathi thriller 'Dashavatar', directed by Subodh Khanolkar and starring veteran actor Dilip Prabhavalkar, is now performing really well at the box office. It recently delivered the best single day collection at the box office.

Box office performance

According to box office tracking website Sacnilk, 'Dashavatar' released with decent collections, gradually gained good numbers with positive reviews and audience word of mouth. The film closed its opening weekend with over Rs 4.4 crore and ended the first week registering Rs 9.2 crore. It earned Rs 1 crore on its second Friday, followed by Rs 2.65 crore on Saturday, before recording Rs 3 crore on Sunday. This brings the total collection of the film to Rs 15.85 crore.

Theatre occupancy

The Marathi thriller registered an impressive overall 66.66% occupancy. Morning shows saw 52.09% turnout, which grew strongly by the afternoon to 74.86%. The evening shows witnessed packed houses at 82.10%, while the night shows were at 57.57%.

About the film

Dilip Prabhavalkar plays the role of Babuli Mestri in this suspense thriller. His character is a devoted Dashavatari folk theater performer from the Konkan region.

The film also stars Mahesh Manjrekar, Siddharth Menon, Priyadarshini Indalkar, Bharat Jadhav, Abhinay Berde, Ravi Kale, Vijay Kenkare, Sunil Tawde, and Aarti Wadagbalkar in key roles.
