on the education system. Due to COVID-19, all changes that occurred in our education system which is also very humorous. Parents were informed about online teaching and studies. But what about those students who don't have the internet or computer at home"

Mane further elaborated "Similarly, 'Shankar Patil On Matric' revolves around a 60-year-old man from a small village, who has been trying to clear his matric exam for the past several years. And during his 40th attempt, the govt cancels the exam due to Pandemic. And then what happens, is the real crux of the story"

Commenting on the film's quirky title, Mane said "Shankar Patil is the most common name and I wanted a name that would relate with anyone. And on Matric means we are always on the subject of matric. We are focusing more on matric and neglected our logical development of brain"
