. While talking about his sad demise,

veteran actor Jaywant Wadkar

exclusively told ETimes, "I was very shocked to hear about Nishikant. He was a very good friend of mine since our inter-college days. I was senior to him, but we used to together in a group"

"I used to love his work and his simplicity has always humbled me. I used to tell him to put a hold on your career and get married. He never took my words seriously. I think this is the most disturbing and sad news. We have lost an incredible talent" Wadkar added.

Apart from his Bollywood films, Nishikant was also popular for his work in Marathi films' like ‘Dombivali Fast’, ‘Lai Bhaari’, ‘Fugay’ and others.
