The lockdown has been extended now, and theatre owners across the nation are waiting eagerly for a go-ahead from the government to resume their businesses.
Following to which, the Marathi cinema's popular filmmaker Viju Mane and single-screen theatre workers and exhibitors had gathered to protests outside a Vandana theatre to re-open single-screen theatres.

While speaking exclusively with Etimes, Filmmaker Viju Mane said "If we malls, government and private companies can resume their work, then why not cinema hall. I am not talking about multiplex screens, we are worried about single-screen theatres. These small screen theatres can re-open with limited people. And we are ready to manage it by following all rules and regulations"
Meanwhile, on the work front, Viju Mane's last released film 'Monkey Baat' did well at the box-office. It featured stars like Pushkar Shrotri, Bhargavi Chirmule, Vijay Kadam, and Mangesh Desai in key roles.
