Gauri Ingawale is currently riding high on the success of ‘De Dhakka 2’. The film which also starred Makrand Jadhav, Shivaji Satam and Medha Manjrekar in lead roles, received positive reviews from the audience and critics alike.
In a freewheeling conversation with ETimes, Gauri spilled the beans on her debut, her bonding with Mahesh Manjrekar and Saiee Manjrekar and more.
Gauri Vaidya who played a key role in 'De Dhakka' has been replaced by Manjrekar's daughter Gauri Ingawale.
"To be honest, I consider myself very lucky for being a part of the sequel of a such blockbuster film. It was a bit challenging because I was supposed to play Sayali's character. Vaidya played a good role in 'De Dhakka'. I am sure the audience will miss her"
Working with Mahesh Manjrekar was 'great' for Gauri. " He is just amazing. I was very comfortable working with pappa (Mahesh Manjrekar) as a director"
Talking about her bonding with Saiee Manjrekar, the actress said, "We share a very emotional bond. Whatever good happens in her life, I am very happy for her and she is the happiest person when anything good happens in my life. She has always been there for me. I could speak English today only because of Saiee"
