2/7

'Welcome Home'

Sumitra Bhave and Sunil Sukthankar's 'Welcome Home' brings out the hidden layers of judgement and underestimation that women are regularly subjected to at the hands of men. Mrinal (playing as Saudamini) has done a commendable job with her stunning performance along with Sumeet Raghavan, Spruha Joshi, Mohan Agashe and Uttara Baokar.

3/7

‘Yellow’

Mahesh Limaye's directional Marathi film 'Yellow' is the story of a young girl suffering from Down Syndrome, who beats the odds and goes on to become a swimming champion. Mrinal as the protective mother plays a significant role and she gives justice to her role with a brilliant performance. The story of a beautiful mother-daughter relation and a coach’s staunch support for his student is worth watching

4/7

'Rama Madhav'

Mrinal Kulkarni directorial this periodic drama featured Parna Pethe, Alok Rajwade, Mrinal Kulkarni, Sonalee Kulkarni, Ravindra Mankani, Prasad Oak, Dr. Amol Kolhe, Shruti Marathe, Aditi Rao Hydari. Its an immortal love story of Rama and Madhav. Set back in the Peshwa dynasty the film also shows the battle period of 'Panipat'. Mrinal Kulkarni has done a wonderful job as a director and above all, the great performances come from all the artistes right from Shruti Karlekar to veteran Ravindra Mankani.

5/7

‘A Rainy Day’

Director Rajendra Talak’s A Rainy Day is a suspense thriller, crafty narration, intense presentation, with lead actor Subhod Bhave and Mrinal Kulkarni are playing the role of husband and wife. Mrinal Kulkarni puts on a very convincing act of a disturbed woman. The supporting cast of Manoj Joshi, Neha Pendse, Harsh Chhaya, Prince Jacob gave justice to their role. This flick deserves a watch.

6/7

'& Jara Hatke'

Prakash Kunte's directorial 'Jara Hatke' explores the love stories of two generations. The film tries to deal with the complications of relationships with maturity and understanding. Mrinal and Indraneil are top-class but Siddharth and Shivani match them at every step.

7/7

‘Farzand’

Digpal Lanjekar's historical epic genre 'Farzand' was set in the days of King Shivaji and promoting thinly veiled propaganda of nationalist thought. The actress Mrinal is playing the role of Jijabai and surprisingly, she had played the same role in the television show titled Raja Shivchatrapati (2008). Here, too she is portrayed as strong and makes up for it with these sincere performances and intent. This historical epic is more informative and happens to be a history enthusiast.
