Bollywood and Marathi cinema's handsome hunk Sharad Kelkar has turned a year old today, October 7. Sharad made his film debut in 'Hulchul' and since then he has done many movies in both Hindi and Marathi.

Sharad Kelkar made his debut in Marathi cinema with National Award winning film 'Uttarayan' helmed by Bipin Nadkarni. The plot of the film is based on the Marathi play 'Durgi' written by Jaywant Dalvi. It is an emotionally complex story of Widower 'Raghu' and 'Durgi'. It also starred Shivaji Satam and Neena Kulkarni in pivotal roles.

The late filmmaker Nishikant Kamat's 'Lai Bhaari' starring Riteish Deshmukh, Radhika Apte and Sharad Kelkar was a box office hit. Sharad as (Sangram) is worth appreciating. He played a Marathi villain who will induce anger and make you cringe with his actions.

Neelima Lonari's 'Chinu' revolves around a village girl (played by Tejaswini Lonari) developed a keen attraction of the urban life. Sharad has delivered an exceptional performance in the film which garnered a lot of praise from the audience. It also starred Praveen Tarde, Sandeep Pathak and Prakash Dhotre in pivotal roles.

Dnyanesh Zoting's Marathi fantasy-thriller revolves around the story of land-grabbing conglomerates. The film is about a a missing documentary filmmaker and his daughter’s quest to bring him back. It starred Sai Tamhankar, Rutuja Deshpande, Umesh Jagtap, Anil Kamble and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles.

Swapna Joshi's 'Madhuri' revolves a woman (played by Sonali Kulkarni) from a very unique perspective at two different mental states when she is an adult and when she is a twenty-year-old.
