The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the list of feature films that are eligible for the 95th Oscars. The Marathi film 'Me Vasantrao' helmed by Nipun Dharmadhikari is among the 301 feature films from across the world that are now eligible to compete at the Oscars.

The list was released by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Tuesday, January 10. The final nominations will be announced on January 24.

Singer-actor Rahul Deshpande who is the recipient of the 68th national award of the best playback singer for 'Me Vasantrao', took to his Instagram stories to share this news with his fans and followers.

Apart from 'Me Vasantrao', other Indian films that have cut include 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', 'RRR', 'The Kashmir Files' and 'Kantara'.

The list also includes the Gujarati film 'Chhello Show', which is India's official entry to the Oscars this year, 'Tujhya Sathi Kahi Hi', 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect', 'Iravin Nizhal' and 'Vikrant Rona'.

Talking about the film, 'Me Vasantrao' is a biographical film based on the life of the Indian classical musician Vasantrao Deshpande.

It also starred Amey Wagh, Pushkaraj Chirputkar and Purushottam Laxman Deshpande in pivotal roles.
