Talking about she landed up the role, Prajakta, "Shivkumar Parthasarathy, the director of the film had

called

me and asked to hear the script once. I went for the narration to his office and he showed the video that had Varun Narvekar narrating the entire story. As Shivkumar had given me an idea that it was a South Indian film so I was quite thrilled. However, I was a bit skeptical to accept the offer because of the short length of the role as I had done short roles in my previous film 'Hampi', and I didn't want to get typecast. Nonetheless, I liked my part and gave my nod. Plus, the cast of the film was quite exciting be it Suvrat Joshi, Rohit Haldikar; I knew them very well."

She added that Shivkumar had given her South Indian lessons. "Whatever I have uttered on screen is because of him. Interestingly, his wife is a Maharashtrian. I was quite glad that I got an opportunity to play a South Indian girl's character. In fact, Suvrat and I have even sung a South Indian song in the film. We made her singing debut, in a way," she sums up.
