Om Raut's debut directorial 'Lokmanya – Ek Yug Purush' is based on the life story of Bal Gangadhar Tilak - a social reformer and the freedom fighter of the Indian independence movement. Subodh Bhave played the title role of Indian nationalist and social reformer Bal Gangadhar Tilak.

It also starred Chinmay Mandlekar and Priya Bapat in pivotal roles.

Nagesh Darak's 'Maratha Battalion' starring Laxmikant Berde, Ramesh Bhatkar, Vijay Chavan, Milind Gawali, Bharat Jadhav and Alka Kubal in pivotal roles.

It is a story of Maratha soldiers during the Kargil war where a son joins the Indian Army after his father's death. The music was composed by Mohan Sithara. It was released on 2nd December 2000.

Ashok Kamle's 'Krantiveer Rajguru' was based on the life of revolutionary freedom fighter Shivram Hari Shivguru. He fought against the Britishers for India's independence and was hanged along with Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

It starred Chinmay Mandlekar, Sharad Ponkshe, Milind Gunaji and Pankaj Vishnu in a pivotal role. The film released in the year 2010.

Gajendra Ahire's 'Vasudev Balwant Phadke' was based on the life of revolutionary Vasudev Balwant Phadke. It starred Amitabh Bachchan, Ajinkya Deo, Ramesh Deo, Chandrakant Gokhale and Sonali Kulkarni in a pivotal role.
